Live Oak lost against Sulphur back in March of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Live Oak Eagles fell just short of the Sulphur Golden Tors by a score of  2-1. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.
Live Oak got a good showing from  Trevor Hodges, who   tossed 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 On the hitting side, Live Oak saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Cooper Smith, who  went 1-for-3 with one  double.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Live Oak  fell to 3-1. As for Sulphur,  the  win  got them back to even at 1-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Live Oak will host Dunham  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Sulphur, they will square off against St. Thomas More at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
