The Hollins Royals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Osceola Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hollins is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Thursday, Hollins took a serious blow against St. Petersburg, falling 45-6. Hollins was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-0.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 42 points the game before, Osceola were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. Their tough 34-9 defeat to Largo might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Osceola can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Largo is ranked 110th).
Hollins' loss was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-3 Cypress Creek and 6-3 Northeast (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 60.7% over those games). As for Osceola, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Hollins took a serious blow against Osceola when the teams last played back in November of 2022, falling 35-6. Will Hollins have more luck at home instead of on the road?
