The Globe Tigers will face off against the Coolidge Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Last Thursday, Globe got the win against Apache Junction by a conclusive 19-1. Considering the Tigers have won seven contests by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jade Verdugo
| 04/02/26 @ Apache Junction | 7 |
| 03/12/26 vs Alchesay | 6 |
| 04/21/25 @ Ray | 5 |
| 03/25/25 vs Florence | 4 |
| 03/18/25 @ Payson | 4 |
Jade Verdugo was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Globe let Loghan Williamson and Zoey Tulk run wild. Williamson got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Tulk went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs. Antonella Franco was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Globe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Coolidge). They were the clear victors by a 23-6 margin over Apache Junction on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Aliana Ruiz was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Zaedee Volk, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run and three runs.
Globe's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Coolidge, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-9-2.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Globe has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .442. However, it's not like Coolidge struggles in that department as they've averaged .437. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Globe suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Coolidge when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
