The El Dorado Wolverines stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Sequoia Charter as El Dorado made off with a 56-33 win. The score was close at the half, but El Dorado pulled away in the second half with 34 points.
When it comes to explaining why Sequoia Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jack Roehl. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with two steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Roehl posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Fabian Lozano, who scored eight points.
El Dorado is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Sequoia Charter, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Dorado will face off against Ridgeview College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sequoia Charter, they will head out on the road to take on ASU Prep Poly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. ASU Prep Poly presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sequoia Charter in Arizona (ASU Prep Poly is ranked 96th, while Sequoia Charter is ranked 215th).
