Trinity Christian (Addison, Texas) extended its winning streak to eight games with a 27-16 victory over
Bishop Lynch (Dallas, Texas) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Daniel Davidson touchdown run in the second quarter, the Trojans led 20-16 at the half.
Trinity Christian expanded its lead to 11 points entering the fourth quarter. TC scored once in the quarter on a
Harrison Woodard touchdown run.
The Friars'
Anthony Mullins played well. The senior wide receiver ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown. He has now scored 11 touchdowns on the season.
Tanner Snow was the top performer for the Addison school. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns and kicked one extra point. He has now scored 24 touchdowns on the season.
Coming into the game the Trojans had allowed 28.8 points per game this year. Trinity Christian held firm on the defensive front, and kept Bishop Lynch well below the 28.3 points it had been averaging per game.
TC also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 37-31.
The loss comes after Bishop Lynch defeated St. Thomas Catholic 27-11 last week. The loss snapped BL's 2-game winning streak.
