Despite the defeat, La Junta had strong showings from Raquel Rodriguez, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds, and Brooklyn Lovato, who scored five points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Ellicott was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 37-31 to Banning Lewis Academy.
La Junta's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Ellicott, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
