Yuba City extended the longest winning streak in Tri-County Conference this week by beating Placer, 48-21. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Pioneer scaled the state rankings by moving to 731 from 792 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Patriots climbed the ranks as a result of beating Lindhurst 52-18.
Devin Jones was a key player and the best on defense this week as Woodland lost to Davis. He.
Isaac Lessard put up the best numbers in passing as Yuba City bested the Hillmen. He had a total of 7 completions for 146 yards. Lessard's favorite target this week was Devin Pettengill, who caught 4 passes for 91 yards.
John Ithuburn's team's Lessard and Pettengill have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Lessard has thrown for 724 yards this season, while Pettengill has 11 catches for 311 yards. TJ Dove from River Valley leads the league in rushing with 820 yards.
