MacDonald took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Stratford Prep Lions. The Condor not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 3, 2024 (when they won 3-0).
MacDonald was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-18.
Gillian Mabilin paced MacDonald's offense, picking up seven kills. Mabilin got some help from Hana Aman and her ten assists. Mabilin was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. MacDonald will host Basis Independent Silicon Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stratford Prep, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Granada Islamic School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
