After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Briarcliff, Haldane was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Poughkeepsie Pioneers as they made off with a 17-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won five in a row.

Milo Pearsall was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Pearsall was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

In other batting news, Leo Lanza was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Lincoln McCarthy, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Haldane always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .551. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Haldane's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Poughkeepsie, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Haldane will head out on the road to square off against Millbrook at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Poughkeepsie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
