The Fayette Falcons''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 32-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Russellville. Fayette was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Russellville apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Russellville can attribute much of their success to Justin Seaver, who rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns. Drake Armes and his 115 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Russellville's victory.
Fayette's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.5 points per game. As for Russellville, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
Fayette does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Russellville will face off against St. Vincent at TBD on Friday. St. Vincent is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
