The Salmon River Shamrocks lost against the St. Lawrence Central Larries back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Salmon River was outmatched by St. Lawrence Central on the road and fell 52-21. Salmon River was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-9.
St. Lawrence Central was led to victory by Austin Mason and Damien Ashley. Mason scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds and 7 steals, while Ashley scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Lashomb-Tessier, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
Salmon River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Lawrence Central, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Salmon River will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Lawrence Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Brushton-Moira at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
