The Brookwood Panthers will venture away from home to  take on the Gulf Shores Dolphins  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
On Friday, Brookwood made easy work of Pinson Valley  and carried off  an  8-1 victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Panthers.

 Davis Torri tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  strikeouts.
 On the hitting side,  Markeil Williams was a standout: he scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Those  two  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high.  Jordan Riley also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, while Gulf Shores put up some  runs on Friday, the same  can't be said for Pass Christian. Gulf Shores blew past Pass Christian 8-0. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Dolphins as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Gulf Shores also got a great performance from  Woods McElroy as he  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. What's more,  McElroy gave up only one  walk, the fewest he's  had  over his last five  games.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Tres Moore, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Jacob O'Bryan, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-4.
 Brookwood's record now sits at 5-7. As for Gulf Shores, they now  have a winning record of 7-6.
 Gulf Shores' hitters will have their work cut out for them  on Monday. Brookwood has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 8.6  strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Gulf Shores, though, as  they've been averaging  only 3.9  strikeouts. Will Brookwood keep running through batters, or will Gulf Shores buck the trend?
