The Dallas Christian Chargers will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Holy Cross Knights at 7:00 p.m. on December 2nd. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Dallas Christian: 10.1, Holy Cross: 17.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
With a playoff game on the line, Dallas Christian rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 24-14 victory over the Lions.
Luke Carney and Jaden Davis were among the main playmakers for Dallas Christian as the former rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown and the latter rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Holy Cross came tearing into Friday's contest with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Cypress Christian by a score of 32-22. Holy Cross' win was all the more impressive since Cypress Christian was averaging only 16.33 points allowed on the season.
Marco Gomez went supernova for Holy Cross, picking up 138 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 88 yards. Gibby Alvarado also helped out by tossing the rock for 271 yards.
Their wins bumped Dallas Christian to 12-1 and Trinity Christian to 9-3.
