Even though the Centura Centurions have not done well against the Ravenna Bluejays recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Centura took down the Bluejays 32-18. That's another feather in the cap for Centura, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Kyra Wooden, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ella Rasmussen, who scored five points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Centura has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Ravenna, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-15.
Centura is on the road again on Monday and plays the Haymakers at 5:00 p.m. on February 5th. Cozad comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Ravenna, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (St. Paul is ranked 177th, while the Bluejays are ranked 197th).
