South Coffeyville had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were given a punishing 8-54 loss at the hands of Prue. If South Coffeyville were expecting payback for the 48-94 loss against Prue the last time the teams met, then they were shortchanged. This was the first contest for both squads, starting South Coffeyville off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Prue a 1-0 record.
In two weeks, South Coffeyville take on Welch at South Coffeyville Public Schools at 7:30 PM. As for Prue, they will face off against Regent Prep.
