Basketball Recap: Palm Valley Skates Past Noli Indian with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Palm Valley). They claimed a resounding 69-32 win over the Noli Indian Braves. The FIREBIRDS have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 25 points or more this season.

Palm Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alex Ratner led the charge by going 13 for 17 en route to 27 points along with eight boards and five steals. The dominant performance gave Ratner a new career-high in points. Matteo Lam was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine assists.

Palm Valley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.5 points per game. As for Noli Indian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Palm Valley will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Desert Chapel at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th. As for Noli Indian, they will face off against Joshua Springs Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Noli Indian is facing Joshua Springs Christian at the right time seeing as Joshua Springs Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
