The Fairfield Indians were the 58-35 winner over the Oak Hills Highlanders when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Fairfield took a 66-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oak Hills on Friday.
Oak Hills' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Henry Maginn, who scored 25 points. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Riep, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Fairfield has fallen quite a ways from their 22-5 record last season and are now at 1-4. As for Oak Hills, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfield will be home for the holidays to greet Lakota East at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Hills will be home for the holidays to greet Lakota West at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
