Basketball Recap: Cloverleaf Piles Up the Points Against Firestone

Cloverleaf waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Firestone Falcons 63-28. The Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Cloverleaf was led to victory by Evie Barth and Makinsey Bayer. Barth went 10-for-21 en route to 22 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Bayer shot 44% from the field on her way to 15 points and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Barth has scored at least a third of the Colts' points. Addie Evans was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Cloverleaf's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Firestone, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Coming up, Cloverleaf will welcome Field at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Firestone, they will head out on the road to square off against Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
