Baseball Recap: South Lafourche Has No Trouble Against John Ehret

While South Lafourche put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for John Ehret. The South Lafourche Tarpons blew past the John Ehret Patriots 13-0. The Tarpons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

South Lafourche got a massive performance out of Ress Duet, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Duet a new career-high in stolen bases. Julian Morales was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

South Lafourche hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in four consecutive games.

South Lafourche has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. John Ehret dropped their record down to 6-14 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, South Lafourche will face off against South Terrebonne at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for John Ehret, they will square off against Maurepas at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
