The Willcox Cowboys entered their tilt with the Catalina Trojans with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Willcox blew past Catalina, posting a 52-14 win on the road. The result was nothing new for Willcox, who have now won three contests by 34 points or more so far this season.
Willcox found their leader in underclassman Ismael Cuevas, who rushed for 38 yards and two touchdowns. Landon Ward also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Willcox is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Catalina, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Willcox will head out on the road to face off against Scottsdale Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Scottsdale Christian Academy's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last six contests. Catalina does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
