The Potomac School Panthers stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Georgetown Visitation Prep as Potomac School made off with a 63-42 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Potomac School has posted since December 16, 2023.
Leading Potomac School to victory were Catherine Letendre and Sabrina Anderson. Letendre scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and five steals, while Anderson scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. That's the first time this season that Letendre pulled down eight or more rebounds. Zora Burrell was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 12 rebounds.
Potomac School is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Potomac School will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against St. Andrew's Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. on January 25th. St. Andrew's Episcopal will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, they will head out on the road to square off against Maret at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Maret focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Tuesday.
