Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] hasn't had much luck against Marshall recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Titans are taking a road trip to face off against the Lions at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Monday, Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] got the win against Heritage by a conclusive 14-3. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won five in a row.
Shaylun Christenberry was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kenzie Willison, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was Rylee Hill, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Marshall, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over Robinson on Monday.
Like Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland], Marshall also got a great game from a two-way player: Kyla Gustafson. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Gustafson was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Avery Cornwell was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Karsyn Johnson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland]'s record is now 3-9. As for Marshall, their record now sits at 10-3.
Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Marshall in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
