The Pacifica Tritons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. Their rough 78-58 defeat to San Marcos might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pacifica in their matchups with San Marcos: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Pacifica still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Dillon, who scored 16 points along with six assists and two steals. Dillon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Richard Miranda was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Pacifica has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for San Marcos, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Pacifica will head out on the road to face off against Bernstein at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Bernstein's favor as the team sits on nine straight wins at home while Pacifica has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road. San Marcos will take on Rio Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Rio Mesa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday.
