Waldron had lost seven straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 4-14 to make it eight. They came up short against the Pottsville Apaches, falling 16-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Apaches this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-1 on April 7th.

Austin Hudson and Dakota Taff did some serious damage despite the final result: Hudson got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI, while Taff went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Hudson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
As for Pottsville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The result was nothing new for Pottsville, who have now won 11 games by ten runs or more so far this season.
On Pottsville's side, Corey Greathouse was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Greathouse was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Eli Morris was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Brady Morrison, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Waldron does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pottsville, they will head out to face off against Mansfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
