Creek Valley might have drawn first blood against Eustis-Farnam on Friday, but it was Eustis-Farnam who got the last laugh. Creek Valley ended up on the wrong side of a painful 39-69 walloping at Eustis-Farnam hands. Creek Valley were down by 33-56 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Creek Valley's loss came about despite a quality game from sophomore Justin Ningen, who rushed for 106 yards and 1 touchdown. One of the most thrilling moments of the game was Hodges's 65-yard TD reception in the first quarter. Junior Patrick Hansen was in the mix, too, providing Creek Valley with with 3 touchdowns. This was the first contest for both squads, starting they off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Eustis-Farnam a 1-0 record.
Next week, Creek Valley take on Hay Springs at 4:00 PM. As for Eustis-Farnam, they will face of against South Platte. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up next week.
