Notre Dame Prep pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Carver A&T, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Carver A&T's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Notre Dame Prep has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.2 hits per game.
