Carver A&T never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Eastern Tech on Thursday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Mavericks. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Like Notre Dame Prep, Carver A&T also got a great game from a two-way player: Lily Anderson. Notre Dame Prep pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Carver A&T, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Carver A&T's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Notre Dame Prep has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Carver A&T, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Notre Dame Prep's sizable advantage in that area, Carver A&T will need to find a way to close that gap.
