After flying high against the Spartanburg Christian Academy Warriors on Saturday, the Chapman Panthers came back down to earth. Chapman fell just short of Broome by a score of 47-44. Chapman was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Broome apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Chapman lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Colt Mcallister. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points. Mcallister continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Moore, who scored three points.
Chapman has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Broome, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Chapman won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Brashier Middle College Charter at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd. Brashier Middle College Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully Chapman likes a good challenge. Broome's road trip will continue as they head out to face Spartanburg Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 3rd. Spartanburg Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
