The Frankfort Hot Dogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 60-42 to Benton Central. That's two games in a row now that Frankfort has lost by exactly 18 points.
When it comes to explaining why Frankfort lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Farley. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Isaac Adams was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Frankfort's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Benton Central, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-8.
Frankfort will head out on the road to take on North Montgomery at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully North Montgomery focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Thursday. As for Benton Central, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Rensselaer Central at 8:00 p.m. Rensselaer Central and Benton Central are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
