The Meade Buffaloes will head out on the road to take on the South Gray Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meade will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Last Friday, Meade strolled past the Larks with points to spare, taking the game 59-44. Given Meade's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Larks are ranked 149th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, South Gray put the finishing touches on their 12th blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pawnee Heights 90-27 at home. While fans of South Gray might be used to big wins, the 63-point margin marked the team's biggest victory yet this season.
Meade pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for South Gray, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-1.
Meade skirted past the Rebels 46-44 when the teams last played last Saturday. Will Meade repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
