The Elite Prep Academy Eagles suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 60-35 walloping at the hands of Circle Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Elite Prep Academy has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Elite Prep Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jahmani Salomon. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Salomon hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games.
It was another big night for Lucas Valdes, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals for Circle Christian. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Bell, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Elite Prep Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Circle Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.
Elite Prep Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Crooms Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Circle Christian, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Winter Springs at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
