D.C. Everest had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Superior Spartans by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The Evergreens haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

D.C. Everest can attribute much of their success to Athena Thor, who had ten digs and three aces. That's the most aces Thor has posted since back in October of 2024.

Superior is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

D.C. Everest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Chippewa Falls on the 26th. As for Superior, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Eau Claire North on the 26th.
