South Hills owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They blew past the Cibola Raiders 7-0. Considering the Huskies have won six games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Nobody will forget Parker Milton's heroic performance anytime soon (especially Cibola's batters): she turned in a perfect game. Furthermore, Milton didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in May of 2024.
On the hitting side, Charli Moreno was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Sanchez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
South Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The win made it two in a row for South Hills and bumps their season record up to 6-3-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.5 runs. As for Cibola, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
