Baseball Recap: Minco Beats Tipton for Their Third Straight Win

Minco had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Tipton Tigers. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by eight runs or more this season.

Cashton Johnson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Sebastian Valdez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Minco's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Tipton, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Minco will face off against Weatherford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tipton, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Tipton Tigers duke it out with Grandfield Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
