Tucker Waltz Crosses Big Stat Threshold
 Sadly,  Tucker Waltz posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Bartlett over Houston on Friday. Waltz picked up  two  sacks, forced two fumbles,  and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss). Thanks to that strong showing,  he's  now averaging 5.2  total tackles per game.
 This year,  Waltz  has averaged 5.2 total tackles per game  and for the season has 3 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season,  he was only averaging 0.67  total tackles per game.

Cam Nelson Turns in Season-Best  Performance
 Arlington came up short  on Friday despite  Cam Nelson delivering his best game to date. Nelson picked up 101 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Arlington's loss was  their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-5. Nelson and Arlington will challenge Houston at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.

Big Game from Miller Jr. As Houston Won 33-14
  Derrick Miller Jr. put up the most  rushing yards he's  had since back in September of 2023 on Friday. He picked up 79 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He has become a key player for Houston: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  receiving touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
 On the season,  Miller Jr.  has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 75.9 receiving yards per game.

 While White Station might've come up empty  on Thursday,  Dyland Bolden wasn't going down without a fight. Bolden was unstoppable, picking up  a  sack and making ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 White Station is  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-6. Bolden and White Station will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on KIPP Collegiate at 7:00  p.m.  on October 17th.

Collierville Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to  Grant Troutman
 Collierville picked up their seventh consecutive win   on Thursday thanks in part to  Grant Troutman. Troutman was unstoppable, throwing for 160 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
 Collierville pushed their record up to 7-0 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. Troutman and Collierville will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cordova at 7:00  p.m.  on October 18th.
