Spanish Springs found their leader in underclassman Aaliyah Vance, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Wakefield, who scored no points along with seven steals.
Spanish Springs is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Reno, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
Spanish Springs will be playing in front of their home fans against Carson at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Carson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Spanish Springs is ranked 16th). As for Reno, they will head out on the road to take on Douglas at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Douglas will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
