Make it eight blowout wins for the Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats this season. They took their contest on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 70-26 victory over Fox Creek. Given Westminster Schools of Augusta's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 118th in Georgia, while Fox Creek is ranked 239th in South Carolina), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Westminster Schools of Augusta was led to victory by Jaliyah Terry and India Williams. Terry dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Williams scored 29 points along with three steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Westminster Schools of Augusta's points. Aimee Spurlock was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Fox Creek saw an underclassman step up: Maya Kryshtalowych scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Fox Creek struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Westminster Schools of Augusta racked up 16 assists.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Westminster Schools of Augusta, bringing their record for this year to 11-2. As for Fox Creek, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
