The Clemente Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 49-13 defeat at the hands of Lake View. Clemente was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-3.
Imariz Duran was her usual excellent self, scoring 29 points for Lake View. The contest was Duran's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Marrero, who scored six points.
Clemente's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lake View, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Clemente will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Lawndale at 5:00 p.m. Lake View won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Francis W. Parker at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Francis W. Parker focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 last Thursday.
