The Ellison Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Waco Lions at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
After a string of three wins, Ellison's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of University by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Ellison couldn't push the score so high this time.

Alejandra Lopez Kelly, who's now up to three this season.
Meanwhile, Waco had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let Shoemaker onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Wednesday. Considering Waco's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Ellison's loss dropped their record down to 8-6-2. As for Waco, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12.
Ellison might still be hurting after the 5-0 loss they got from Waco when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can Ellison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
