The John F. Kennedy Catholic Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Boardman Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After soaring to a 39-point win in their last game, John F. Kennedy Catholic came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of Badger by a score of 53-51. John F. Kennedy Catholic's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ava Darney, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Addy Odille, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and five steals.
Even though they lost, John F. Kennedy Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Badger only pulled down eight offensive rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Boardman's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Howland by a score of 54-52.
