Waupaca came tearing into Thursday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Freedom Irish. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.
While Waupaca might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Freedom scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 18-25, 25-21.
Peyton Carlson paced Waupaca's offense, picking up 36 kills. Carlson got some help from Taylor Kling and her 42 assists.
Waupaca's victory bumped their record up to 21-10. As for Freedom, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-10.
