The Cape Henlopen Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Freire Charter as Cape Henlopen made off with a 50-26 win. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Cape Henlopen has managed all season.
Cape Henlopen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mya Maull, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Maull continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Faith Re, who scored nine points.
The win got Cape Henlopen back to even at 2-2. As for Freire Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cape Henlopen will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Dover at 6:30 p.m. on December 19th. As for Freire Charter, they will square off against Parkway Northwest at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
