Northeastern's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Ross, who rushed for 168 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. What's more, Ross posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August. Another receiver making a difference was Trent Deloney, who gained 141 total yards and two touchdowns.

Northeastern didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Marshall Phillips and Quanell Denton. Phillips has been hot recently, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Northeastern got some further help from Kale Hansen: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made six total tackles.
Meanwhile, Hagerstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 38-19 to Tri.

Northeastern's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Hagerstown, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Northeastern has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 187.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Hagerstown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 197.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Northeastern was able to grind out a solid win over Hagerstown in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 33-22. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
