Regis Jesuit is 9-1 against Douglas County since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Regis Jesuit Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Douglas County Huskies at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Regis Jesuit's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
Last Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Regis Jesuit beat Cherry Creek 70-64. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Bruins are ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Regis Jesuit's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eric Fiedler, who went 10 for 24 on his way to 31 points and five rebounds. Fiedler's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Dickinson, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.
Regis Jesuit was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Douglas County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-44 heartbreaker at the hands of Arapahoe.
Regis Jesuit will need focus on slowing down Roman Saiz, one of several Douglas County players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Dale, who posted 13 points.
Regis Jesuit's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Douglas County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Regis Jesuit has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Douglas County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 23.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Regis Jesuit came out on top in a nail-biter against Douglas County when the teams last played back in January of 2024, sneaking past 66-64. The rematch might be a little tougher for Regis Jesuit since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
