Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kingman). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Monument Valley Cougars 71-41. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 324th in Arizona, while the Cougars are ranked 136th in Utah).
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alexander Hicks, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 12 points and six boards. Hicks is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Deswood, who posted 12 points.
Kingman moved to 1-8 with that victory, which also ended their ten-game losing streak. As for Monument Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
