After flying high against Spry Community Links last Wednesday, Legal Prep came back down to earth. Legal Prep fell 67-58 to Clemente on Wednesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Legal Prep players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brandon Sneed, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jamal Craig, who scored 14 points.
Legal Prep has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Clemente, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Legal Prep will square off against Douglass at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clemente, they will head out on the road to face off against Little Village at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Little Village is on a three-game streak of home wins, Clemente a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
