Baseball Recap: Azle's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

After a string of six wins, Azle's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Granbury Pirates. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Garrin Graves made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Keagan Flynn, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Azle's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Granbury, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

While Azle had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
