The Peak to Peak Pumas waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Prospect Ridge Academy 59-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Peak to Peak has posted against Prospect Ridge Academy since February 18, 2017.
Peak to Peak's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grant Boonstra led the charge by scoring 15 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tysen Burton, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Prospect Ridge Academy still got an impressive performance from Liam Schilling, who scored 19 points along with two steals.
Peak to Peak's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.
Peak to Peak will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Jefferson Academy at 2:30 p.m. on January 27th. Jefferson Academy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, they will be playing at home against Regis Groff at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Regis Groff will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Prospect Ridge Academy is ranked 135th).
