The McKinley Panthers won the last time they faced the Southern Lab Kittens, and things went their way on Friday too. McKinley walked away with a 66-53 win over Southern Lab.
Southern Lab's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charles Leblanc, who scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Cameron Hardnett, who scored 12 points.
McKinley's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Southern Lab, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
McKinley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Episcopal at 3:30 p.m. on December 16th. Episcopal is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Southern Lab, they will take on Booker T. Washington at 2:50 p.m. on Thursday. Booker T. Washington will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 231st, while Southern Lab is ranked 79th).
