Tennessee Heat waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They really took it to Bluegrass for the full four quarters, racking up a 46-19 victory at home. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Tennessee Heat had established a 22 point advantage.
Tennessee Heat was led to victory by Roxi Scott and Sophia Cooper. Scott scored 12 points along with six steals, while Cooper scored 14 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Brenae Fox, who scored nine points.
Tennessee Heat's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-16. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Bluegrass, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tennessee Heat will take on the Falcons at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Rocket City and the are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. Bluegrass will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the at 12:00 p.m. on February 6th.
