Meanwhile, Jesuit got themselves on the board against John Carroll Catholic on Friday, but John Carroll Catholic never followed suit. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over the Rams. The Tigers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 21st.
Ryan Thompson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Brody Smith was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Cannon Murtagh was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Jesuit always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
